May Favourites

I haven't done a favourite post in a really long time but spring is here and summer is around the corner so I could not be happier!

New job

I have started a new job and so far I am loving it! It's been 2 weeks but I am so grateful I have found a job where I feel respected, heard. It is a bonus I get along with those I work with and put my skills to good use. I work with a crazy girl who I am sure I will have many fun adventures with! I feel so blessed.

New hobby

Well, favourite might be a big word but I am really enjoying. As you might well know, I am running for Cancer Research and therefore have to training for it. Despite all my moaning and complaining I do enjoy it and I am so proud with the effort, the time I am putting in it and the improvement. Don't forget to support my cause! I am so excited to do the Color Run in a couple weeks! It will be so much fun.

Family time

In between jobs I managed to get a few days off and went to Spain. The weather was terrible, it didn't stop raining and had to drive my manual car which let me tell you I had forgotten how to use (I love my automatic car). But I got to see my dad and ate a lot of croquetas.

As well as going to see my dad in rainy Marbella, I have done a lot of experimenting and cooking and had time to perfect some recipes such as my almond crusted chicken. You need to try it, it's delicious!

Foodies Festival

Last weekend we went to the Foodies Festival in Syon Park and as usual it didn't disappoint. We had to leave early as the Big Man had other plans but the time we were there we enjoyed plenty of food, drinks and live music in the sun. Cannot wait for the Taste of London in a few weeks and the Foodies Festival in Alexandra Palace in August. Exciting Summer ahead!

In the next couple of months, I look forward to sunny days out in the park having picnics with friends and running and getting fit. I am excited to spend 2 weeks with my family in Spain and seeing my sister with her 3 little monsters; relaxing on the beach, reading and getting a tan, sipping mojitos by the pool and Gin Tonics in the terrace. As always, I am sure, this summer will be great.

How was your month of May? What are you looking forward to this summer? Let me know in the comments below!
