One of my goals for 2016 was to run for a good cause. I had my mind set on the color run because it would be fun and because it would be fairly easy for my first run. 5k, every kilometre you get colour powder thrown at you. Fairly easy right?
Well, I have been postponing my running training for ages and then running a lot one week and nothing the next, I think it will be interesting to say the least. At the end of the day I rather eat than run.
But here I am, writing this instead of running thinking that 3 weeks is plenty of time!
The charity I am fundraising for is Cancer Research.
As many of you know, my mum passed away in 2008 from cancer. Cancer can destroy you at any age whether you are a little girl/boy or a soon-to-be-grandmother like my mother was.
My mum was the kind of person that was always smiling, positive and kind. She had a strong personality and was loved by so many people. When cancer took her away, she left us completely devastated without her advise on how to move on or live without her. No one deserves to lose a mother, father or sibling especially to something as horrible as cancer.
Cancer Research is trying their best to find a cure but they can't do it without our help. They have gotten so far in the past few years that it definitely gives us a bit of hope. Unfortunately, my mum will not be there to see me getting married or having kids but I would like to think one day we will conquer cancer and have a cancer-free world.
My idea is to run 5k this year and then probably later this year or early next, run a 10k so if you have any tips let me know! I understand it isn't like running a marathon (I'm not there yet!) but I would really appreciate if you could spare just a few pounds and support this cause! You can find all about their research here.

Have you got any tips for my training (or lack of)? Have you raised money for cancer research or any other charity before? Will you be doing the color run in London? Let me know in the comments below or tweet me at @hungrylittleone!
Thanks for all your support!!
